In 2015, Karine Vallet and Cédric Rautureau launched a dental quote website, designed to give as many people as possible access to the best treatments at controlled costs. They opted for a little-mouse mascot and 2D animation to get their message across to the general public.
The film for La Petite Souris
The founders chose to bank on childhood memories to create a feeling of affection for their brand, building on the character of La Petite Souris — the French counterpart of the tooth fairy, a little mouse who slips by at night to leave a coin under children’s pillows in exchange for their precious baby tooth… Here it is a little mouse for grown-ups which, instead of bringing a small coin, delivers the quote that will relieve dental woes at the best possible cost.
The advertising cartoon shown on the website’s home page
On the website, this translates concretely into a 2D cartoon mascot greeting the visitor, and a 52-second cartoon featuring the mascot alongside a dentist and a customer panic-stricken by the prohibitive quote he has just been handed. Fortunately, when night falls, the little mouse springs into action and works out a new quote for the poor patient — one that brings relief and puts the smile back on his face!
