The film follows the journey of Léo, passionate about the trade he is training for at the Vesoul apprentice training centre (CFA). Far from the ready-made path that lay before him — a career in teaching — he unexpectedly committed to a profession that surprised everyone around him. A film crowned with a Clap d’Or
This film earned 3TOON another trophy. Selected from among 614 competing films, the video “Léo, apprenti” was awarded the Clap d’Or. The prize was presented on the stage of the Grand Rex in Paris on 23 May 2017, before 2,600 students, teachers and school heads. The film’s whole team was on stage: Léo of course, Pascal Colin, his trainer at the Vesoul CFA, Michel Chamouton, President of the Bourgogne Franche-Comté Chamber of Trades and Crafts, Bertrand Creusy, then director of the CFA and commissioner of the film, Matthias Garnier, also a trainer, Nanou Droit and Marie-Anne Champroy, trainers, and Ali Bali, the film’s director.
