Yannick Paget is a composer and conductor. He has composed practically all the music for 3TOON’s productions since the studio was founded.
Composer and conductor
Yannick Paget is an eclectic musician who has been living in Japan since 2004, where he leads a double career as a conductor (he conducts the Hyogo Performing Art Center Orchestra) and as a composer for screen and stage.
Education
He studied at the Royal College of Music of London and at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris (CNSMDP). From 2001 to 2004, Yannick Paget was assistant to conductor Yutaka Sado at the Concerts Lamoureux, the prestigious Parisian orchestra.
Experience
This collaboration led him, from 2004 onwards, to become a conductor in Japan. But he divides his time between concerts and composition. He has written several scores for audiovisual works as well as for theater productions.

Collaboration with 3TOON
The encounter with the founders of 3TOON took place in 1997, while they were producing their first interactive movie, entitled Hypnosis. The score he composed for that film was the first of a long list of films made together: practically all the films produced by Ali Bali and Violaine Meunier have been set to music by Yannick Paget – some 50 programs!
Music for the stage
Yannick Paget also composes for the theater. He has set to music the creations of Catherine Anne (“Ah Annabelle” in 2011) and of Côme de Bellescize (“Les errants” in 2005, “Les enfants du soleil” in 2010, “Amédée” in 2012).
Yannick Paget also composed the opera “Merlin ou la nuit des métamorphoses” (“Merlin, or the Night of Metamorphoses”), premiered in April 2004 at the Grand Théâtre Armande Béjart in Asnières-sur-Seine, with a libretto by Côme de Bellescize and stage direction by Sigolène de Chassy.
