At the end of 2017, PréRequis decided to overhaul its communication towards major accounts. Thus were born the mascots of Caesar and the Gladiator, heroes of a new animated marketing web series.
The client
PréRequis is an information systems consulting firm. When the management team decided to change the way it communicated with the major accounts in its portfolio, it contacted 3TOON with a graphic direction in mind: a synthesis between the wire-frame style of the MAIF TV spots and the pared-down, cartoonish look of the Shadoks (a cult French animated series).
Supervised by Anne Rondreux, the graphic research eventually led to a pair of mascots: Caesar and the Gladiator. Caesar represents PréRequis’s clientele, and the Gladiator embodies the friendly, innovative, clever little assistant who helps the colossus with his strategic decisions.
A film in traditional 2D animation
The first film shows Caesar besieged by an uninterrupted flood of information, each piece more varied and disorderly than the last. Fortunately, before he is completely submerged, the Gladiator character appears and sets out to convince Caesar that he needs a praetorian guard to help him see clearly, and thus make the right decisions.
The advertising cartoon unrolls the arguments that make the emperor understand the value of enlisting the services of this elite troop — in other words, PréRequis… The videos on this page are in French.
A bold bet on light, playful communication, for a particularly serious business, aimed at a top-tier clientele.
The 2018 greetings card
Given the reception of the first film, PréRequis decided to send its animated mascots on a new adventure, in a greetings card staged like a sword-and-sandal epic. A multitude of obstacles rise up before Caesar and his troops as they struggle forward through the blizzard. Fortunately, his PréRequis praetorian guard is there to help him clear every obstacle, all the way to the final denouement…
The 2019 greetings card
And it continues! 2019 would be a year of great transformation. For the PRÉREQUIS characters, you will see that the expression takes on its full meaning!
The 2020 greetings card
The tradition lives on! The year 2020 opens with a leap 2,500 years back in time… recalling the tale of Theseus facing the Minotaur, saved only by Ariadne and the thread she entrusted to him to escape the labyrinth… A Happy New Year greetings card entirely in 3D animation!
A comic strip for the MyTalentMap app
In September 2019, PréRequis commissioned this comic strip (in French) for its internal communication, presenting the advantages of the new MyTalentMap application, developed to ease employees’ internal career development. It carries on the new form of communication the company embarked upon after the three cartoons produced by 3TOON.
