Building on its classroom success, the École de conduite du Lubéron driving school decided to launch the production of an e-learning course preparing candidates for the heavy-goods driving licence exam. The result: a series of 35 animated videos, presenting in a playful way the entirety of the material needed to pass the exam.

The client: CER Lubéron (driving school)
The CER Lubéron driving school, based in Peyrolles in the south of France, is the local reference for heavy-goods driving licence training. Doubly certified (Datadock and the Apave quality label), it enjoys a reputation for excellence.
The company, created by Dominique de Gennaro — herself a former lorry driver — enjoys an exceptional growth rate, driven by its students’ particularly high pass rate in the driving exams. This first step into e-learning is a testament to the company’s development.
3TOON’s mission
The whole online course rests on the animated series produced by 3TOON, which had to adapt the entire content of the 12 oral exam sheets into animated video format. As usual, the studio opted for a rather playful treatment, while taking the greatest care to ensure the lessons build up progressively — giving candidates the best possible chances of memorisation. This training indeed requires a very significant memory effort from trainees to absorb all the information in the curriculum.
35 animated videos
In total, close to 30 minutes of animation had to be produced to cover the method exhaustively.
On top of the training videos, 3TOON also produced 3 more marketing-oriented videos to support the sales funnel: the video on the home page, presenting the training offer, which ends with a call to action inviting visitors to sign up for the first lesson free of charge.
The two other animated videos accompany prospects throughout their sign-up journey, to encourage and congratulate them — all with the marketing objective, of course, of converting those prospects into customers of the paid offer.
Motion design at the service of training
To allow candidates to absorb every notion needed to pass the exam, 3TOON harnessed motion design to illustrate the concepts as effectively as possible.
It is through the combination of voice-over, animated text and animation that the most complex and driest ideas could be presented in a lively way, conducive to the best memorisation.
About PermisC.fr
To launch its paid e-learning training offer, CER Lubéron entrusted 3TOON with creating a dedicated website, PermisC.fr, designed to market the course while maintaining the link with the main website.
