FORPRO is a distance-learning provider specialising in accountancy qualifications (the French DCG, DSCG, DEC and CAFCAC diplomas), which also offers tailor-made learning paths.
For FORPRO, 3TOON designed and produced a series of six e-learning modules for candidates preparing the DEC (the French chartered accountancy diploma), based on particularly technical content. Our work consisted of analysing, restructuring and scripting this dense material to turn it into animated educational videos that are clearer, livelier and easier to remember, while preserving the rigour of the original content.
Particularly well suited to distance learning, these animations make complex notions more accessible and help keep learners’ attention throughout their course.
The modules are in French.
The six modules
1. How to write the dissertation
A complete method for designing a dissertation that meets the examiners’ expectations.
2. How to prepare the dissertation defence
Oral preparation techniques, argumentation and handling the discussion with the examiners.
3. How to write the project notice
Step-by-step guidance for preparing a relevant and convincing application for approval.
4. IFRS 16 – Leases
Understanding the principles of the IFRS 16 standard, the accounting rules for leases and their impact on financial statements, through educational dialogues and concrete examples.
5. Circular shareholdings in consolidation
Understanding the mechanisms of indirect ownership within a group and mastering two methods for calculating ownership interest percentages, through an animated case study that makes these complex notions more accessible.
6. The valuation method in a merger
Mastering the rules for choosing between book value and fair value depending on how the companies are controlled and on the direction of the merger. Through practical examples, this animation makes the accounting mechanisms, and the main exceptions to be aware of, easier to grasp so that mergers can be handled correctly.
With FORPRO, 3TOON demonstrates its ability to turn demanding technical content into structured, visual and engaging e-learning materials. An approach that allows training organisations and schools to offer livelier online courses without sacrificing the accuracy of the knowledge they pass on.
