The magazine of French communication professionals has followed the various experiments carried out by 3TOON in its quest for innovation. We have gathered on this page 5 articles that highlight some of them.
Issue 1527: “1 minute de pause” for JM Bruneau
In this first issue of 2009, the magazine announced the launch of the third season produced for JM Bruneau. The web series “1 minute de pause“, starring Yannick Noah, stood out in particular because it could be personalized with the viewer’s own avatar. The article also mentions the ethical dimension of the script, which highlights sustainable development themes – earning the series a partnership with the WWF.
Issue 1213: “C’est quoi l’assurance ?” for April Group
This issue reported on the particularly ambitious animation produced for the insurance company April Group. It notes that this is a cartoon whose hero’s appearance can be fully personalized by the viewer, and that beyond the 4 minutes of animation proper, it includes several interactive sequences. A commendable educational effort, aimed at explaining the insurance business to children – and also at polishing up the somewhat tarnished image of the profession.

Issue 1196: “Lumière sur la facture” for EDF
This article, richly illustrated with screenshots, highlights the originality of the cartoon produced for EDF at the time of the changeover from the franc to the euro, designed to alert “absent-minded” customers to the currency now used in their bills.

Issue 1185 – The FastBooking saga (part two)
In this 3-page article devoted to new advertising formats, Christine Halary delivers a particularly thorough overview of the new directions taken in response to the public’s growing disaffection with classic banner ads.
The article opens with the edifying example of our client FastBooking, which, with figures to back it up, demonstrates the soundness of its original communication choice for launching its start-up (still thriving 10 years later!). The article goes on with numerous examples of advertainment campaigns produced by our fellow Web producers, all seeking, like us, to imagine new formats while preserving the quality of the relationship with the customers and prospects being addressed.

Issue 1164 – The FastBooking saga
The first Stratégies article devoted to our first advertainment production, in 2000. The article opens with a brief history of 3TOON, originally created to fulfill other ambitions. It then describes the purpose of the three cartoons produced for the start-up FastBooking, and concludes by announcing our next contract, once again in the hotel industry (it would be the SBM – in other words the city of Monaco, one of the clients won over by the FastBooking saga).
