Avassys: Web and Print Visual Identity

In 2013, Andréas Kunz decided to entrust the complete overhaul of his website and visual identity to 3TOON, with one key idea: superheroes.

B2B communication, superpowers edition

Hard to imagine a more austere and serious business than that of specialists in IT solutions for professionals. Yet that did not stop the Avassys partners from turning the situation to their advantage, by blowing up every code usually associated with their field!

Being fans of comics and the superhero universe, they decided to adopt a communication approach based on total differentiation from their competitors, creating a colourful world where fantasy sweeps away the seriousness and monotony that had seemed de rigueur until then.

AVASSYS - Captain Infra

The company’s various skills and specialities would from then on be personified by 6 superhero characters forming the Avateam.

These 6 heroes serve as the graphic foundation applied across all of Avassys’s communication: logo and visual identity, website and print derivatives (brochures, business cards, invoices, t-shirts, labels, banners for trade shows, etc.).

A few months on, the verdict was unequivocal: Avassys’s clients loved it, and the visual declensions of the Avateam universe keep coming month after month. Here are a few samples.

A 4-page comic-book brochure

The Avateam heroes made their first appearance in a 4-page comic strip (in French) serving as a sales brochure handed out to Avassys’s clients and prospects. A debut quickly followed by many other declensions…

Complete website overhaul

After the brochure, the website was entirely rethought, its design resting chiefly on the original illustrations featuring the 6 heroes of the Avateam.

Business cards

Every Avassys employee then received their new business cards, in the colours of the Avateam.

Honey jar labels!

As part of an effort to raise its engineers’ awareness of the importance of ecology within their profession, Avassys set up several beehives in the Beaujolais and Loire regions. Each year this yields a series of honey jars that delight their most loyal clients! These jars, too, get a design inspired by the Avateam, with a splendid superheroic bee…

Key-figures infographic

Rather than a long bulleted list, Avassys’s key figures were laid out in this infographic in the form of a comic-book page. All the business information is there, with the spirit of the Avateam thrown in.

Company charter

To let prospects and clients clearly identify the company’s values and commitments, its charter was in turn set in images, with the visual codes of the Avateam.
