A public-health TV spot in cartoon form, produced on behalf of the Ministry of Health.
The TV spot
Faced with the resurgence of sexually transmitted diseases across French Polynesia, the Ministry of Health undertook an awareness campaign aimed at young audiences, designed to promote healthy living habits.
Produced as traditional 2D animation, this health-prevention film presents, in a playful and allegorical way, a young Tahitian-looking couple protecting themselves against the attacks of a multitude of viruses (chlamydia, syphilis, HIV, herpes).
A campaign by the Health Directorate
The film is part of a wide-ranging campaign designed to promote not only STI prevention, but also better eating habits and the refusal of harmful products — alcohol, tobacco and drugs.
It targets teenagers more specifically, and adopts a tone and form suited to them: colourful images, simple language and vivid situations. The mortal risk is nevertheless clearly expressed, immediately followed by the response — the recommendation to use a condom.
